About Me

Hi! I'm Miles, a recent UC Santa Cruz with a BS in Computer Science: Computer Game Design. I'm passionate about making games, programming, making music, and data science. I hope you enjoy my portfolio and projects.

Using the web audio api, the app has the ability to synthesize different drum sounds, synthesizer tones, and more. Audio file samples can also be loaded in, or recorded straight from the user's microphone. Use the built in algorithms for generating millions of sequences and melodies, or plug in a MIDI keyboard to play the sounds just how you like them!

The Report

A collaborative game project that focuses on how perspective can shape experiences. Designed with the theme: "Nearby in space, but distant in time" using the Phaser JS game engine.

"The Report" features a unique perspective mechanic that allows the player to shift the game narrative as they play, filling out a journal from clues they find throughout. Along with general game design, I was responsible for all the audio and music as well.

Through the Fog

My capstone project at UC Santa Cruz. It was developed over the past year with a team of 5 other students. Along with general programming, I was responsible for sound design, composing, and website development. The game is a rogue-lite mapping game where the player must explore a fog-covered city to uncover its mysteries. Download it on Steam now, playable on Windows and Mac!

A mobile-focused web app I made for when I make music on the go. There weren't really any good IOS apps for simple audio manipulation, and I find myself making mobile music a lot with GarageBand and the Koala Sampler. This simple tool made it easy for me to quickly play around with my samples in ways that I couldn't easily do on my phone before.
